Daily Challenges

One puzzle per day. One chance to claim the fastest time globally.

What is the Daily Challenge?

The Daily Challenge is a unique, asynchronous competitive mode designed to measure absolute solving speed across the entire player base.

Every day at exactly 00:00 UTC, our server algorithm generates a brand new, hand-crafted Sudoku puzzle. This specific board is pushed to every single user on the platform. Unlike standard Quick Play where you are matched against a single opponent, the Daily Challenge pits you against thousands of players simultaneously.

The Rules of Engagement

The Daily Challenge is a high-pressure environment because of its strict limitations:

  • One Attempt Only: You only get one official attempt to record a time on the Daily Leaderboard. If you refresh the page or abandon the puzzle midway through, your attempt is forfeited for that day.
  • The 3-Strike Penalty: Just like standard multiplayer matches, the 3-Strike rule applies. If you make three incorrect placements, you fail the challenge entirely and receive a DNF (Did Not Finish) status for the day.
  • Equal Ground: Because every player receives the exact same starting digits, the Daily Challenge eliminates the "luck of the draw" aspect of randomized boards. It is a pure test of visual processing and logical deduction speed.

The Daily Leaderboard

As soon as you successfully solve the final cell, your completion time (measured in milliseconds) is uploaded to the live Daily Leaderboard. This board constantly updates as players around the world submit their times.

At 23:59 UTC, the leaderboard locks, the daily winner is crowned, and the board resets for the next day's challenge.
